NYC DOE FAMILY GUIDE
OPTING IN TO HYBRID LEARNING
Between November 2 and November 15, 2020, you can use this form to switch to blended learning (a mix of in-person days at school and remote-learning days at home) for the remainder of this school year.
The 2020-2021 Family Guide is here and available online and in all 9 DOE languages.
The guide provides information on what teaching and learning will look like this school year, and universal expectations for how our schools support all students —whether they are attending fully remote or blended learning classes. The guide also provides information about who families can contact when they have questions or concerns, and resources that families can use to support learning at home.
LEARNING OPTIONS FOR THE FALL
Families and students can choose between two options for learning this fall: Fully remote learning or a hybrid schedule with some days in school and some days learning at home. Hudson is using DOE model 3A. For more information, see the NYC DOE website or contact Hudson's Parent Coordinator, Will Hart, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
FULLY REMOTE OPTION
If you chose a fully remote learning option, students will learn Monday-Friday online. This will include both live classes and independent work five days a week.
HYBRID LEARNING OPTION
If you choose the hybrid model, students come to school on a specific day with their grade. On the days they are not in school, students have some online classes and independent work.
If you have questions, please contact Will Hart,
Parent Coordinator, at email@example.com
