  • Little Chef Little Café at 5-43 48th Ave, Long Island City, NY  

    • Is providing free meals to the community. Just let them know you’re picking up a meal by asking for Diana and letting the team know you’re there to pick up your family meal. For those who are unable to come to the café for pickup – we will deliver to you. For delivery call or text (516) 828-5063.

  • Farine Baking Company, 74-24 37th Ave, Jackson Heights, Queens, NY

    • Has set up a table of small bags filled with free food items for “people in need, financially challenged, or just hungry and can’t afford to purchase.” The restaurant said that anyone who wanted to contribute to the table could do so.

    • Is also offering free meals to children 12 and under with the purchase of a regular entree not on the specials menu. Kids have the choice of a burger, hot dog, macaroni and cheese and chicken fingers with a small mixed salad. The offer is available from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

  • Concettina Restaurant, 160-24 Willets Point Blvd, Whitestone, NY 11357

    • Is offering a 50% discount on all food items on the menu, while supplies last. Starting on March 17 at 5 p.m., patrons can order food for pick up or delivery (excluding Grubhub). Orders must be paid in cash only.

  • Chicky's Restaurant, 248-43 Jericho Turnpike, Jamaica, NY

    • Beginning on March 17, the restaurant is serving free daily lunch to underprivileged children from noon to 2 p.m.

  • Näna Good Eats, 53-01 10th Ave., Whitestone NY 11357

    • Is offering patrons a $5 falafel sandwich. They are available for contact-free and curbside pickup. Order online at https://www.nanagoodeats.com or call 917-908-0444.

  • Avli The Little Greek Tavern & Kafe

  • As of 3/19/20, all NYC schools are providing breakfast and lunch from 7:30am - 1:30pm. Meals will be 'grab and go.' Kids can get meals at any school; they don't have to go to the school they attend. Meal distribution sites will be more limited in future weeks.

  • Feeding Westchester, 200 Clearbrook Road, Elmsford, NY

    • Drive-thru food pickup open to anyone in Westchester County. No ID required and you do not have to get out of your car. 3/19, 3/20, & 3/21 from 10am-2pm

CHILD CARE IN NYC

 

The BU will run a day camp from 730 am to 630 pm featuring a computer lab, dance, drum, arts and crafts etc plus meals at a cost will be $20 per day or $80 per full week. Bedford Stuyvesant FB Group: In response to the schools shutting down I will be moving my sitting operations to a new location which means I will be able to care for more children but space is limited. We will be located at Tohma’s Place on 1585 Fulton Street near the A/C lines. Most of our students have been sent home with homework packets and we will be assisting with homework help.
