The Faces of Education - Episode 12
Your Name
Kate Spence-Ado

What do you teach and/or do at Hudson?
I am the ISA (Institute for Student Achievement) coach here at Hudson. ISA has been one of the school's partners since Ms. Amling was planning the school. As the ISA coach, I work with teachers and administrators to integrate the ISA's seven principles in ways that make sense at Hudson.
Why education?
I'm one of those people who always knew I wanted to teach. Before I was an ISA Coach, I was a high school and middle school English teacher. Working with high school students to improve their literacy levels and support them in accessing and being successful in college is a goal I'm committed to achieving.
Why Hudson?
ISA matched me with Ms. Amling before the school opened because we're a good balance for each other. I love my work at Hudson because I believe we're working at the cutting edge of education here.
Impressions of the Hudson staff?
The Hudson staff are amazing! It's a great experience collaborating with such thoughtful, dedicated, creative, and caring educators.
Hope for the year?
I hope to continue to collaborate with staff to push the boundaries of teaching and learning in ways that allow for all students to succeed.
