The Faces of Education - Episode 14
Meet Thomas J Rodney

What do you teach/do at Hudson?
I teach 10th grade Geometry, I'm testing coordinator and the new Robotics Team Coach.
Why Education?
My dream as a child was to become a superhero. As I got older, I realized that not all superheroes wear spandex and walk the streets waiting for action, they make positive change any way they can. After several changes in college major, I learned that knowledge is power and this is an area that I could make the most positive change. Education is the key to a better world, so every time I put on my bow tie and step onto the BREC campus, I feel like I'm saving the world, just like I wanted to as kid.
Why Hudson?
Several reasons, for one, definitely Nancy Amling. Also, Hudson is unique, laid back, and weird, just like me. Lastly, I have never worked with so many supportive, intelligent, creative people in my life; it allows me to feel safe trying new things to be better. I couldn't really imagine being anywhere else.
Impressions of the Staff?
The Hudson staff is like family to me. Everyone has quirks, and we all have something to add to the craziness, it's the order in the chaos.
Hopes for the Year?
For the year, I hope to help as many people as possible, students, staff, parents, or civilians, whoever puts up the TRod signal.
