Today, 7 awesome students attended the New York City Girls Computer Science and Engineering conference at NYU. These awesome young women participated in discussions about how important and influential women have been in the computer science and engineering field. We also heard from women who are either finishing their studies in various computer science fields, or are working in the field today. We were also able to see some of their projects hands on!

Google also made a guest appearance and showed our students how SCRATCH works and brought laptops for them to code on their own. Kayla presented one of her games she had created using that software and it was awesome!

At the end; these amazing Hudson students competed in a tower building competition which we did not come out triumphant in, but we definitely learned that we all need to put our minds together in order to succeed in the world! This was such an amazing opportunity for our young women at our school and they are definitely looking forward to next year!
