Theater Performance Available

The Core Ensemble is a touring troupe that presents educational music theatre works celebrating diversity. Our show, "Of Ebony Embers-Vignettes of the Harlem Renaissance" will tour in January and February 2016. The show celebrates the lives and legacies of great literary figures of 1920's-'30's New York City (Langston Hughes, Claude McKay and Countee Cullen) as seen through the eyes of the great visual artists Aaron Douglas (the father of Black Art). We invite you to preview "Of Ebony Embers":

The show is appropriate for middle and high school. We also offer a downloadable Study Guide to accompany the show which you can preview here:

Would your school be interested in hosting "Of Ebony Embers"? I would be happy to provide further detail about the show or our touring schedule.
